OPEN STARTUP Organizes Training of Trainers for coaches (TOT ) in Morocco

OPEN STARTUP (OST) is an NGO that provides a regional platform for innovation and capacity building through entrepreneurship, education, and cross-cultural exchange, building communities and bridging ecosystems across the MEA region. After 6 years operating in Tunisia and two years hosting online training programs in Morocco, OST is happy to announce that this year’s annual Training of Trainers for coaches (TOT for Coaches) is happening in-person, in Casablanca, in partnership with Columbia Engineering and Business Schools, New York, the US Embassy in Morocco, Columbia Global Centers in Amman, Africinvest, Innov’i, The European Union, and Expertise France and the DOT.

In this edition, OST is also proud to partner with Technopark, La Startup Station (La Factory), and the Moroccan ecosystem.

The TOT is a three-day intensive and certified training, taking place on November 28, 29, and 30, in Technopark. Bringing together 35 participants including faculty and practitioners involved in supporting the Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through this event, OST aims to enhance the entrepreneurial and coaching skills of professors and practitioners eager to support ecosystem players in Morocco, and in the region.

The training is delivered by international experts from Columbia University of New York and the MEA region, Tunisia, Senegal, and Jordan based on National Science Foundation (NSF) methodology which uses tools such as simulation, case studies, and teamwork, relying on group reflection, collective intelligence, and experience sharing from the US and the region.

Furthermore, this event aims to offer a snapshot of the Moroccan ecosystem landscape through the organization of three panels dedicated to Moroccan SSOs, and VCs, as well as a dialogue between coaches and entrepreneurs.

His excellency Mr Puneet Talwar, American Ambassador in Morocco honored the closing ceremony and handed out certificates for participants and trainees.

Our experienced trainers are from USA including Mrs IVY SCHULTZ, Director of Entrepreneurship Columbia Engineering, Mr. FARZIN SAMDANI, Entrepreneur, Founder & Advisor, DARIO VASQUEZ,Program,Manager/Entrepreneurship at Columbia Engineering  and from Jordan we have Mr. YAZAN HIJAZI, Director of Innovation Center & The CORE at HTU &Human Engineering Advisory (HEA) and from Tunisia TAREK CHELAIFA, Senior Manager at GSMA supported by the Open Startup team.
