Monthly Statistics released by the Bank of Mauritius indicate that the number of mobile banking and payment transactions grew from 3.36m in Jan 2022 to 4.99m, accounting for a rise of roughly 48 percent in January 2023. During that same time, the value of transactions grew from MUR6.8m to MUR11m, an increase of roughly 61 percent.
