A networking session aimed to better understand the relationships between the chambers of commerce in Mauritius

With the aim of deepening the understanding of the relationships between the various chambers of commerce in Mauritius, the International Business Enterprise Ltd hosted a distinguished reception at the prestigious venue “L’Aventure du Sucre” on the 11th of May. This gathering aimed to bring together leaders from five chambers of commerce, namely those of the United States of America, France, Australia, China, and South Africa, to discuss potential avenues for business relations and explore opportunities for collaboration towards a brighter future.

It is worth noting that Mr Ravin Lama, Mr Bilal Adam, and Mr Graeme Robertson, the respective presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of America, South Africa, and Australia, are the founders of the International Business Enterprise Ltd. This organisation serves as a platform for collaboration and synergy, aiming to promote international trade in Mauritius.

According to Ravin Lama, President of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), “This platform will serve to collectively address challenges and promote exchanges between different chambers of commerce in order to mutually support one another.”

Bilal Adam, President of the South African Chamber of Commerce, states, “This initiative has been established to facilitate better networking among expatriates and provide a common platform for sharing expertise and collaborating within this community, ultimately serving one another more effectively.”

Graeme Robertson, President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, further confirms that this shared platform is an ideal space for cordial exchanges and emphasises the need to foster connections between different countries, businesses, and related activities.

“The purpose of this networking event is to bring together as many members as possible and facilitate mutual acquaintance, enabling them to share their expertise and create a symbiotic relationship to benefit from everyone’s collaboration,” emphasized Graeme Robertson.

This networking session is just the beginning of the International Business Enterprise’s journey following the aftermath of the pandemic. There are more networking sessions and workshops on the horizon, as the organization continues its endeavours.
