Stéphany Noëllis, a seasoned professional in the artistic world, has created a unique niche in life coaching and music therapy with her venture, ZenLife. Her journey, which began amid the COVID-19 pandemic, has transformed her passion for music and personal development into a business that uplifts individuals. Let’s explore Stéphany’s inspirations, the rewards of her entrepreneurial journey, and her vision for ZenLife.
1.What has inspired you to start your own business and what has been the most rewarding part of your entrepreneurial journey so far?
My journey as a music therapist and life coach all began with the onset of COVID-19. The confinement at home, coupled with the absence of remuneration from my work as a music performer in hotels, served as the catalyst needed to embark on my entrepreneurial journey.
With over 20 years in the music industry and a strong interest in personal development, I found myself contemplating the fusion of these aspects. This contemplation led to the creation of a company aimed at uplifting and assisting individuals in managing their emotions, reducing stress, and fostering greater focus and motivation in the workplace using Music as the medium.
The significance of the workplace became evident during the crucial times of the pandemic. A friend working from home reached out to me daily, seeking guided meditation and coaching on Zoom due to the stress he experienced. These situations collectively motivated me to establish my own enterprise.
The most rewarding part of my entrepreneurial journey has been the ability to guide and assist children facing self-love issues. Witnessing their transformation towards a more positive mindset served as a profound reward, confirming the alignment with my life’s purpose.
2. Participating in the Women Entrepreneur Awards must have been a significant experience. Can you share a key learning or insight you gained from being a part of this event?
On this journey with the Women Entrepreneur Awards, I’ve grown as an entrepreneur. Connecting with fellow women entrepreneurs, sharing stories, and listening to each other has been truly inspiring. Knowing that we all face our own difficulties, questions, and doubts, what ties us together is the determination to never give up, even in challenging times. I’ve learned and grown—this journey has been a transformative experience, an unforgettable chapter in my life.
3. Looking ahead, what is one major aspiration or goal you have for your business in the coming years?
My goal for ZenLife in the upcoming years is to promote music therapy workshops across Mauritius. More importantly, I aim to collaborate with institutions from other countries across the Indian Ocean.
4.What unique aspect of your combination of life coaching, arts, and music therapy distinguishes your practice in your field?
The unique aspect of ZenLife lies in its fusion of life coaching, arts, and music therapy. This combination sets our practice apart by offering a holistic approach that integrates personal development, artistic expression, and therapeutic benefits, providing a distinctive and comprehensive experience for our clients.
5.How has your innovative approach to integrating arts and music therapy into life coaching contributed to winning the ‘Special Jury Award’?
ZenLife’s innovative integration of arts and music therapy into life coaching played a pivotal role in securing the ‘Special Jury Award.’ Our unique approach not only distinguishes us within the field but also demonstrates the effectiveness of combining various therapeutic modalities to create a comprehensive and impactful programme. I think that the jury recognised the distinctive contribution of this creative and unique approach, acknowledging its positive influence on individuals and its broader impact.
