- With your commitment to international diversity, are there any specific programs or curriculum adaptations tailored to cater to the academic needs and aspirations of Mauritian students?
We offer almost all the courses in various streams like Engineering, Science and Humanities, Medicine and health sciences, Management, Law, and Agriculture to cater the various academic aspirants.
- Does the SRM Institute of Science and Technology currently have any active collaborations with educational institutions in Mauritius? If so, how do these collaborations benefit students from both countries?
We have no active collaborations with any educational institutions in Mauritius, however, we have more than 125 MOUs all over the globe with many international universities. SRMIST is keen to collaborate with institutions in Mauritius.
- Recognising the financial challenges of international education, can you elaborate on any scholarship programs or financial aid options specifically available for Mauritian students seeking admission to SRM?
We offer scholarships for about 50% to 75% on annual fees which would financially aid Mauritian students.
- SRM is known for its emphasis on industry collaborations and career placements. How does the institute specifically support international students, with focus on those from Mauritius, in securing post-graduation employment opportunities?
SRM has an exclusive placement cell working for students’ placements and has tie-ups with many companies to ensure career placements.
- Beyond academic programs, your institute fosters a strong research environment. Are there specific research projects or initiatives available for international students, like those from Mauritius, to participate in and contribute to the institute’s research efforts?
The annual fee for PhD is 500 USD only. We have many students including Nigerian students are doing their research projects at our institution.
