Brand Magic kicks off 9th edition on ‘Branding Beyond Boundaries’ to a packed audience

Brand Magic just kicked off its 9th edition today under the theme ‘Branding Beyond Boundaries’ at the iconic Intercontinental Resort Balaclava!

First launched in 2015 by Mind Initiatives, Brand Magic is now firmly entrenched as the go-to annual event for branding and marketing professionals and business leaders to learn from leading international speakers, and serves as a forum for sharing the successes of some of the most iconic brands from Mauritius, and beyond.

In his opening address, Ravin Lama, Chairperson, Organising Committee Brand Magic 2024, said: ”The theme this year is Branding Beyond Boundaries. We chose this theme simply because we realised that when we talk of boundaries, we tend to link it with physical and geographical borders. We need to overcome that mental block and look at boundaries as opening the mind and looking at possibilities you never knew existed in promoting your brands.”

He also took the opportunity to thank platinum sponsor Coca-Cola, silver sponsor FCB-Cread, besides associate sponsors, EDB, Sunny and Indian Oil; as well as Brand Magic partners including Aestetika, Analysis Kantar, DB-Vision, Design Works, Diizz Digital, Eruption, FCB-Cread, Intercontinental Resort and Perpetual Motion.

Next up, the Brand Book 2024 was launched with much fanfare, featuring success stories of global and local brands. As an annual collection of articles and case studies related to branding, the Brand Book aims to offer an insightful foray into the world of branding. A practical resource for those navigating the intricacies of brand strategy, it is a must-read for marketers, brand enthusiasts, and indeed, anyone interested in the subtle art of branding.

This landmark annual event for branding and marketing professionals and business leaders will also see the Top Brands of Mauritius 2024 unveiled later today in an awards ceremony which will be graced by Philippe Espitalier Noël, Chief Executive Officer, Rogers Group.

The annual study, now in its eighth year, is conducted by Analysis Kantar and surveys 1200 respondents to determine the brands that are top of mind across different categories in Mauritius. This partnership between Analysis Kantar and Mind Initiatives has been in force since 2016 and has become a highly anticipated event in the marketing and branding industry.

Now, stay tuned for updates as stellar speakers such as Marie Claire Maalouf from Dubai; Sheila Berman of Singapore; Emmanuel Upputuru of India; Sameer Muley from Ireland; and Philippa Dunjay from the UK, take to the stage!
