On 28 November, ABC Banking Corporation launched its new credit card, the Mastercard Platinum Credit Card, and the Infinity Rewards platform during an event held at its headquarters in Port-Louis. This initiative marks a key step in the bank’s commitment to offering high-end and innovative banking solutions to its customers.
“This premium credit card enriches our range of banking solutions by offering a unique experience thanks to its association with an innovative loyalty program. Customers can accumulate loyalty points with each purchase and exchange them for gifts, vouchers or exclusive services on Infinity Rewards,” said Brian Ah-Chuen, Managing Director of ABC Banking Corporation, before an audience composed of the Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Dr. Rama Sithanen, representatives of Mastercard and other key partners, as well as members of the press.
With the Infinity Rewards platform, every Rs 100 spent on the Platinum Mastercard earns 10 points. These points can then be exchanged on the platform for exclusive travel offers, as well as a wide range of products ranging from electronics to ready-to-wear.
The Platinum Mastercard also offers benefits such as access to airport lounges around the world, discounts on medical expenses abroad, hotel reservations, car rentals and vacation packages.
To celebrate this launch, ABC Banking is offering an exclusive offer valid until February 28, 2025 for its existing customers, including the free issuance of the card, 2,500 welcome points and two free accesses to airport lounges.
“The bank’s growth is accelerating, and we are working on promising developments. This launch represents the first step in a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening our position on the market while meeting the expectations of our customers,” concluded the Managing Director.
With this new credit card offer, ABC Banking reaffirms its rapid growth strategy and its positioning as an innovative and premium player. The bank continues to invest in cutting-edge technological solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
In his speech, the Governor of the Central Bank did not fail to praise the efforts made by ABC Banking Corporation to create links between Asia and Africa.
“The ABC Banking family has always supported initiatives to connect these two continents through their presence in Hong Kong and China to promote the Mauritian financial centre, and this, for years,” affirmed Dr. Rama Sithanen, who stressed that he was participating in his first official function in Mauritius since his appointment as head of the Central Bank.
In the same vein, the Governor of the Bank of Mauritius congratulated ABC Banking for its sustained development over the past 14 years; he also said that he appreciated the bank’s efforts to use the latest technological advances. “I am pleased to see that ABC Banking is using technology to revolutionize the financial sector. We need to make more use of technologies as well as skills to make ourselves more efficient and more sustainable,” added Dr. Sithanen.
About ABC Banking Corporation
Operating since 2010 through its four main divisions, including International Banking, Treasury, Private Banking and Domestic Banking, ABC Banking Corporation has had a solid financial structure since its beginnings. It is a young bank with a solid foundation and with the support of the ABC Group, a respectable group whose reputation is well established in terms of integrity and values. ABC Banking has earned an excellent reputation internationally by being the first Mauritian bank to open a representative office in Hong Kong, demonstrating the possibility for Mauritius to act as a real bridge between Asia and Africa. The bank has also more recently opened a representative office in Dubai, the financial centre of the Middle East, which has enabled the growth of ABC Banking’s International Banking segment.
The bank is young and dynamic in terms of technology and innovation. Since July 2024, Brian Ah-Chuen has succeeded Professor Donald Ah-Chuen as Managing Director. His vision is to invest more in technology and transform the bank to continue its international development as well as develop its offer in the premium and private banking segments, whose revenues have more than tripled in the last three years. As a young and agile bank, ABC Banking is preparing its entry into the main market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius with the introduction of ABCB Holdings, which will combine its banking and non-banking activities. It is the third Mauritian bank to develop its structure under a holding company, as an important step that will allow it to develop its presence on the market by attracting new capital.
