La Plage Factory launches call for projects to support innovative solutions in Mauritius

La Plage Factory is happy to announce its call for innovative projects, following which 12 ambitious, growth-driven small business owners will be selected to join its exclusive Growth and Innovation programme in March 2025.

As a newly appointed “Growth Partner” of Punch.mu, a platform developed by MCB Group and designed to provide local entrepreneurs with the tools, network, and resources they need to grow their businesses, La Plage Factory is pleased to bring its best startup programme to small business owners, making it accessible to those who are ready to innovate and grow.

The programme itself will run from March to October 2025, offering participants the opportunity to develop their innovative solutions from product-market fit to funding, with guidance from local and international experts. The programme has several benefits for entrepreneurs eager to drive innovation, particularly those focused on technology-enabled projects with a positive impact. These include access to the proven Vianeo business design method, quality mentorship, workshops and masterclasses, and funding opportunities.

In addition, joining the programme will give entrepreneurs access to La Plage’s coworking space along with its diverse network of experts.

The call for projects is open to innovative entrepreneurs and small business owners, including women entrepreneurs, members of innovation departments of conglomerates, and existing business owners with fresh, innovative solutions they wish to take to new heights.

The deadline for applications is 20 December 2024. To find out more about the benefits of joining the programme, eligibility criteria, and how to apply, please follow this link.

“Incubators play a significant role in promoting innovation by providing curated support to entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a difference in their communities and sector. Over the past seven years, we have seen first-hand how our incubation programmes have successfully supported dozens of impact-driven projects, including a few led by brilliant women entrepreneurs.

We have come to the realisation that these can also be extremely useful to non-startup entrepreneurs who wish to develop new products or services, hence our recent strategic decision to expand our support beyond ‘start-ups.’ As Mauritius enters a new chapter, we remain committed to promoting innovation and encourage smart entrepreneurs based in Mauritius to apply,” stated Michel Cordani, the Co-founder and Managing Director of La Plage Factory.
