Casela Nature Parks welcomes a new generation of animals to delight all ages

Casela Nature Parks, one of the most famous parks in Mauritius for 45 years, announces the arrival of around fifty new animals from South Africa. This event, almost 10 years after the last species introduction, highlights Casela’s continued commitment to offering new experiences to visitors.

Among the new arrivals are antelopes, giraffes, and other species that will surely delight both children and adults. While exploring the beauty and diversity of this wildlife, visitors are invited to discover the park’s core values: conservation, respect, and animal well-being. The park also enriches the experience with educational programs such as guided tours and interactive workshops, promoting a better understanding of conservation and respect for biodiversity.

The arrival of the new animals allows Casela to revitalize its ecosystem, the first since the last introductions in 2016. After a carefully monitored adaptation period, now completed, each animal has found its place in open, natural habitats specially designed to promote their flourishing and well-being.

One of the key measures includes rigorous tracking of genetic lineages to preserve diversity and avoid family crossbreeding. These practices highlight Casela’s commitment to ethical and responsible wildlife management in an environment that prioritizes freedom and respect for each species.

This initiative also allows visitors to reconnect with nature in an open environment where animals live in conditions that reflect a harmony between active protection and the principles of sustainability and responsibility.

“Our employees wake up every morning to amaze every person who enters the park. Our goal is to create unforgettable memories and offer a unique experience, where they leave with moments of joy. It is a real pleasure to see Casela continue to evolve and inspire both young and old,” said Thierry Arekion, General Manager of Casela Nature Parks.

In this effort, Casela aligns perfectly with the core values of the Medine Group: creating positive impact, encouraging harmony between people and nature, and promoting sustainable development that respects the environment and biodiversity.

Come soon to meet our new arrivals!

Visitors will soon have the opportunity to discover the new animals in an environment tailored to their well-being. Whether with family or friends, Casela invites you to experience a memorable adventure.
