These include Google, Microsoft, Adobe and many others. I am proud to be an alumnus of the Birla Institute of Technology, one of India’s leading technical institutions. Choosing India as your study destination means gaining access to globally recognized qualifications and a vibrant, innovative learning environment that will prepare you for success in the 21st century.”

Suresh Anand Mani, Director of Global Ties, emphasised, “India is a land of innovation, rich in culture, and Indian education is affordable and widely recognised across the globe. India offers a wide range of programs, from engineering to medicine, management, law, agriculture, and more, from bachelor’s to master’s to the research level. These institutions offer various scholarships for Mauritian students. We request all parents and students to take this opportunity to explore these top-ranked institutions and their programs.”

The High Commissioner stated, “Over the years, we have supported Mauritian students through scholarships. We have also facilitated admissions for those who can pay for their education. We have also strengthened these traditional linkages and research ties. Speaking further about our educational partnership, we also believe that we can work in supporting the priorities of this country, which is to develop this as a regional education hub. And what we see today is that there are quite a few Indian institutions who have been instrumental in shaping Mauritius educational landscape. We are inviting more Indian universities to establish campuses in Mauritius, aligning with the government’s aspiration to develop the nation as a regional education hub. We have an important role when it comes to supporting Mauritius on quality education, which is available closer to home through international collaborations.”

He went onto add, “With regards to the scholarship programmes for Mauritian students, we have one which is called the India Africa Maitri Scholarship Programme, it is presently open. There are 60 slots which offer seats in some of the best institutions of India.
