Ignite Africa Ltd, a leading provider of digital and cybersecurity solutions across the continent, marked a major milestone this week with the successful hosting of its first executive cybersecurity event, “Safeguarding Continuity: Defending What Matters Most” at Royal Green, Moka.
The event brought together over 40 senior professionals and decision-makers from sectors including banking, insurance, government, utilities, and large enterprises, for a half-day of focused cybersecurity insight, strategic dialogue, and executive networking.
In an era where business continuity is increasingly threatened by ransomware, data breaches, and identity-based attacks, the event focused on shifting the cybersecurity conversation from reactive defence to proactive, continuity-driven strategy.
The event showcased an insight-driven agenda led by global experts, featuring two high-impact sessions that addressed critical cybersecurity challenges. In the session “Minimising Impact – From Ransomware Detection to Containment,” BullWall demonstrated how modern ransomware attacks can be swiftly contained using isolation technologies to reduce operational disruption and safeguard infrastructure. Meanwhile, Tenable’s presentation, “Restoring Trust in Identity Systems,” explored vulnerabilities in Active Directory and shared best practices for detecting misconfigurations, preventing privilege escalation, and maintaining trust in identity environments.
These sessions were highly engaging, combining technical expertise with practical guidance for senior IT and business leaders. Attendees praised both vendors for providing clear, actionable insights aligned to their own risk and continuity challenges.
Continuity is not a one-off project – it’s a mindset and we are here to contribute to building and executing cybersecurity roadmaps for our organisations across sectors,” said Nishna Tanna, Senior Lead, Cybersecurity at Ignite Africa. “We’ve moved beyond awareness. The participants at the event actively explored ways to contain threats, protect digital identities, and build resilient operations along with our technology partners present”.
A Platform for Reflection, Learning, and Leadership
The event was opened by Kevin Mulliah, Senior Manager of Ignite Africa, who reinforced the strategic intent behind the gathering: “This event was not just a Technology roadshow, but it was an opportunity for customers and partners to reflect, learn, and share critical insights about real-world cyber risks and how we address them in a structured, collaborative way. We were pleased to see the engagement during the sessions and the outcome”
The event closed with an interactive Q&A session and a vibrant networking cocktail, during which guests explored use cases, partnerships, and future collaboration opportunities.
