The University of Law offers Exclusive Advocacy Session in Mauritius led by Tariq Al-Mallak, BPC Professor from London

PTC Education is thrilled to host an exclusive Advocacy Session for aspiring barristers, in collaboration with The University of Law. This unique opportunity will be led by Mr. Tariq Al-Mallak, a distinguished Barrister, BPC Programme & Student Lead from The University of Law, offering invaluable insights into the world of courtroom advocacy.

The session is designed to equip future legal professionals with essential skills, focusing on gaining insider tips on courtroom advocacy, improving legal reasoning, and boosting overall confidence. This is a must-attend event for all law students looking to sharpen their skills with expert guidance.

Mr. Tariq Al-Mallak shared his excitement about the upcoming session: “A hands-on session on examination-in-chief and cross-examination — two of the most exciting (and challenging!) parts of a criminal trial. It’s one thing to watch a courtroom drama on TV or read about it in a book, but it’s a whole different game to actually stand up, think on your feet, ask questions that allows a witness to tell their story, and then to formulate a strategy that cut down your opponent’s witnesses. This session will give you a flavour of what it means to be on the sharp end of the law!”

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, July 5th, 2025
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Location: Flying Dodo, Bagatelle
  • Followed by: One-to-One Counselling Session from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
