Recruitment agency, CareerHub, considered as a reference point on the island, is hosting on October 3 and 4 the 17th edition of the JobFair x AnbaPie to be held at L’Aventure du Sucre, Beau Plan, based on the theme: Culture is Connection.
This edition reflects CareerHub’s commitment to creating an event centred on human connection. Designed to allow visitors to meet and interact directly with company teams, JobFair x AnbaPie is open to everyone, whether job seekers or not. It offers an opportunity to explore different professional worlds, expand networks, and understand company cultures beyond simple job descriptions. For the first time, manual trades such as plumbing, construction, and other essential crafts will also be highlighted.
The event is made possible through a partnership with Terra Group and Awanam and also marks the return of AnbaPie, a platform dedicated to promoting local culture and authenticity. Alongside the JobFair #17 booths, this welcoming space will feature a rich two-day programme including podconfs hosted by experts, intimate discussions, afterwork sessions, and live concerts. Visitors will also meet Mauritian artisans and discover their journeys.
After 16 successful editions, including the last three at Oficea in Moka, CareerHub continues to focus on showcasing company culture and building direct connections between talent and organisations. This mission addresses the ongoing challenges in the recruitment sector.
Among the participating companies are: Attitude, Emtel, Quality Beverages, CIM Finance, Business at Work, J. Kalachand, CFAO Services Ltd, Rank Interactive, IBL Logistics, Agriterra, Terragen, Canal+ Contact, SWAN, and Concentrix.
CareerHub’s Director and Founder, Emmanuel Maujean, explains:
“You may find a job offer that perfectly matches your skills, but how do you know what lies behind the job description? What values does the company truly stand for? What opportunities does it provide in terms of training, development, or work-life balance? You only get these answers through direct contact with employees. JobFair #17 highlights precisely this exchange, the importance of networking, and the discovery of company cultures. With the AnbaPie space, conferences, afterworks, and focus on manual trades, we want to create an event where everyone feels included. At CareerHub, we sincerely believe in the impact of networking. We have seen its benefits for years and are eager to offer Mauritians a JobFair unlike any other. I would add that while job fairs are becoming trendy and multiplying quickly, very few organisers are true recruitment specialists. As a result, the impact of these events can sometimes fade, when they should actually help rebuild the job market. For us, this is not just about communication; it is about a strategy to transform the market at its core.”c
