Mauritius: The LexCorp Training Institute (LCTI) held a landmark event themed Building Futures, Sustaining Tomorrow” on October 8 to celebrate its impressive growth and commitment to empowering learners and professionals across Mauritius, while at the same time, it marked the launch of its new chapter in advancing education, professional development, and corporate training.
Since its inception in 2023, LCTI has rapidly emerged as a key player in Mauritius’ education landscape. At the event, the Director of LexCorp Training Institute, lawyer Tawheen Choomka, welcomed guests and highlighted the institute’s achievements over the past two years. She shared how in a span of two years, LCTI has made significant strides, securing international partnerships and recognition, including becoming an ACCA Gold Partner, which aligns education with global sustainability goals.
Through collaborations with institutions like IMM South Africa, ABE UK, ABMA UK, and the British Council, it has helped reinforce Mauritius’ position as a hub for world-class education, opening global opportunities for students. LCTI views education as a transformative journey, blending professional rigor with practical relevance and future orientation, aimed at nurturing responsible leaders and guardians of integrity.
The institute emphasizes a learning environment where collaboration, curiosity, and joy fuel deeper, lasting knowledge. Tutors are celebrated as vital mentors, and new educators are welcomed to expand LCTI’s impact.

• Minister of Tertiary Education, Science & Research Dr K.S. Sukon, who lauded LCTI’s commitment to advancing skills development aligned with national strategic priorities.
• ACCA Global Council member Sallahuddin Surfaz, who praised LCTI’s excellence as a Gold Learning Partner and its role in equipping Mauritian students with globally recognized qualifications and career opportunities.
• Director of UXi Private Education and IMM Graduate School Nigel Tattersall, who spoke on the value of international partnerships in delivering flexible, high-quality educational programs for Mauritius.
The event also featured presentations on LCTI’s expanded academic offerings, including collaborations with IMM Graduate School (South Africa), ABE UK and ABMA UK, the British Council, bringing diverse qualifications in marketing, supply chain management, leadership, community development and logistics management to Mauritian learners.
In addition to academic programs, LCTI showcased its tailored corporate training portfolio, including courses on data protection, workers’ rights, soft skills, IFRS masterclasses, Lean Six Sigma, and more – all designed to build professional competence and organisational performance.
