Heba Capdevila Jangeerkhan takes office as CEO at Medine Group

Heba Capdevila Jangeerkhan has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Medine Group, effective October 21, a time when the entity is on a continuous path of transformation and positioning itself on the back of sustained growth. She joins the Medine Group, bringing 30 years of experience across various sectors, including logistics, production, industrial, and construction, along with a solid track record of steering growth, transformation, and innovation.

The new Medine CEO said that she was “honoured to be part of a group completely invested in the progress of the country at a critical moment, having a strong backbone with recent investments made and a clear transformative vision, engaging myself to implement with excellence. It’s an organisation to be reckoned with at the historical, economic, and social level. My role will help ensure the creation of value for everyone, whether it’s for our collaborators, the entire community in the west region, or our stakeholders, by banking on synergies among our different activities such as agriculture, education, real estate, lifestyle & hospitality, and leisure. With the full support of the board of directors and commitment of our teams, we will together build on the well established foundations to push Medine towards new heights,” she concluded.

A renowned professional bringing long international experience, Heba Capdevila is recognised for her collaborative leadership and strategic vision where she has notably held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of the Cementis Group Indian Ocean, together with several management roles within the Taylor Smith Group, including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director – Strategy & Development, as well as Group HR & Communications Director. Her contribution was essential to the expansion of the group’s portfolio.

According to the Chairman of Medine, Yvan Legris, the appointment of a leader with such high calibre was needed by the board. “We have chosen Heba Capdevila on account of her proven ability in leveraging value in complex environments and her vision aligned with our transformation strategy. Following a period of significant investment, Medine is now entering a phase of execution and accelerated growth, with operating revenue and operational profits. In this context, Heba brings along not only the necessary operational expertise but also the collaborative leadership that will help ensure a total alignment between the board, management, and our teams.
