Emirates issues update on flight situation as at 6 March

Following the partial reopening of regional airspace, Emirates has announced that it is currently operating a reduced flight schedule while working on the complete resumption of its network. The company has announced that it plans to return to 100% of its network in the coming days, subject to the availability of airspace and compliance with all operational requirements. It has emphasised that safety, as always, remains the company’s top priority, as does its duty of care to its customers.

Update on operations:

  • Yesterday, March 5, Emirates transported about 30,000 passengers from Dubai.
  • By tomorrow, March 7, Emirates will operate 106 daily round-trip flights to 83 destinations from its hub, which represents almost 60% of its network.
  • Emirates operated today the EK703 flight from Dubai to Mauritius, expected at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport at 17:30. The EK704 flight is scheduled to depart Mauritius for Dubai this evening at 22:30.
  • In certain high-demand markets, Emirates has significantly strengthened its operations. In the United Kingdom, the company will operate 11 daily flights through five airports by March 7, reflecting the high demand for travel between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
  • Additional capacity is also being deployed in India, with Emirates increasing to 22 daily flights, serving the nine destinations of its Indian network by tomorrow, March 7.
  • In the United States, Emirates currently operates to seven of its American destinations, ensuring continuity of connectivity between the United States and the United Arab Emirates during this period.

Flights to these destinations are currently operated. Customers can check availability and make their reservations here. Passengers with previous bookings are treated as a priority. At the moment, customers are asked to go to the airport only if they have a confirmed reservation.

Emirates has stated that it will continue to monitor the situation closely and adapt its operations accordingly.

The company invites all customers to consult emirates.com as well as its official social networks, where the latest updates will be published as soon as they become available.
