Kolos brings employees and partners through an exciting FIFA World Cup Prediction Contest

For football fans, the FIFA World Cup is always an opportunity to debate, predict and celebrate. At Kolos, that spirit extended beyond the matches themselves, as employees and partner hardware stores took part in a month-long prediction contest created especially for the 2026 tournament.

The initiative, developed by FRCI, gave participants their own digital platform where they could predict match results, select goal scorers and follow the leaderboard throughout the competition. Whether using a phone, tablet or computer, participants could check their scores and see how they were performing against the rest of the field. For almost a month, every match became another opportunity to climb the leaderboard. Beyond the predictions themselves, the initiative created plenty of interaction among participants and added a friendly competitive spirit to the World Cup experience. And when the final whistle blew, the best predictors had earned their place at the top of the rankings.

Among Kolos’ partner hardware stores, Azhaar Molin of A.M. Molin Ltd, Ramiah Vitaldas of Ramiah Trading, and Samah Gaytree of Sunflower Quincaillerie Ltd emerged as the three winners.

The employee rankings saw Savita Ettoo, Joel Jean-Louis, Harold Legentil and Nirmal Gopaul stand out for their prediction skills.

The numbers also point to strong engagement. Of the 86 employees registered for the contest, 80 participated, a participation rate of 93%. Partner hardware stores also responded positively, adding another dimension to an initiative designed to bring different parts of the Kolos network together.

For Sean André, Head of Sales & Marketing at Kolos, the value of the initiative was not simply in getting predictions right. “This platform allowed us to experience the World Cup in a different way by creating interactions among participants throughout the competition. It was a simple way to share a common interest while strengthening our connection with our partner network.”

Behind the football predictions was also a broader objective: using digital technology to create meaningful interactions. By developing a platform specifically for the event, Kolos and FRCI transformed a global sporting occasion into an opportunity to connect employees, partners and members of its wider business network. The initiative reflects a growing interest in using digital experiences not simply as communication tools, but as ways of creating engagement and strengthening relationships. In this case, a football prediction contest provided an informal setting for people across the Kolos ecosystem to interact, compete and share the excitement of the World Cup.

Through initiatives like this, Kolos continues to look for new ways to connect with its employees and partners, creating shared experiences that encourage interaction, strengthen relationships and foster a stronger sense of community across its network.
