blink by Emtel marked its second anniversary today at the Mauritius Emerging Tech Exhibition (METX), where the Expo 2024 is continuing until 12 May at SVICC.
Presenting at the event, Chief FinTech Officer Atul Bhatia commented that: “Today blink completes its two years of operations. blink is a unique app which allows anybody and everybody in Mauritius having any bank account or mobile SIM to use its service. You don’t have to be an Emtel customer. blink is agnostic of your telco or your bank”.
In terms of upcoming features, Atul explained that blink would soon be launching a new Scan and Pay feature which can be used by Mauritian travellers to India, whether for shopping, medical purposes, tourism or studies, to make payments in India using the blink app, where the amount will be debited in Mauritian rupees, and vice versa for Indian travellers coming to Mauritius.
The Expo 2024 warmly welcomes individuals of all ages and levels of expertise who are curious to explore the cutting-edge realm of emerging technologies such as AR, VR, robotics, and beyond. Whether you’re a student, a seasoned professional, a tech enthusiast, or simply intrigued by the future, this event offers an inclusive space to learn, discover, and experience the wonders of innovation.
