Gabrielle Rosse, a quality assurance and legal professional at MIPS, is one such individual who has embarked on her own transformative journey, one that has reshaped her approach to both work and life. Through her experience with LetsBe, Gabrielle has not only enhanced her physical health but also cultivated a deeper understanding of her mental and emotional well-being. Gabrielle first encountered LetsBe through her company’s management team, who had the foresight to bring the program to the company’s employees as a way to improve overall well-being. “I discovered LetsBe through my company’s management team, who thought of the initiative to introduce LetsBe as part of the employee wellness journey within the company,” she recalls. As a young professional, Gabrielle faced the common challenge of finding affordable health insurance, a struggle that many people in her position can relate to. “As a young professional, it’s hard and expensive to find and pay for health insurance, and this program seemed to be a good alternative,” she adds. The holistic approach of LetsBe, offering everything from consultations with doctors to wellness coaching, immediately appealed to her.
The convenience of having health services available during work hours was one of the key factors that drew her to the program. “The work tends to be less stressful when you know that doctors are near you if you need one, and that the company understands that taking care of the company means taking care of its roots—the employees. They allow us to book consultations during work hours,” she explains. The ability to access medical professionals without the added stress of taking time off during the day or finding time after work made it easier for Gabrielle to focus on her wellness and overall health.
However, Gabrielle acknowledges that her wellness journey didn’t start with LetsBe. “My wellness journey started way before LetsBe, to be honest,” she shares. But she notes that LetsBe added a new dimension to her approach, offering not only a structured way to maintain her health but also a sense of community and support. “What motivates me is that I’m not alone. We are guided and monitored by our medical practitioners, and we can share the experience with our colleagues,” Gabrielle explains. She highlights how the LetsBe team played a key role in her transformation, noting how their positivity and support have inspired her to stay committed to her health goals. “One of the positive sides of joining LetsBe is its team. They are always happy to talk and see you. They are a real example of the mindset you should have when coming to work,” Gabrielle adds.
Perhaps the most profound change Gabrielle has experienced through LetsBe is the transformation in her mindset, particularly in how she approaches challenges at work and at home. She said, “The biggest growth I’ve encountered joining LetsBe would be with my attitude at work and at home. Speaking and dialoguing with the psychologist really helped me understand that a few things needed to change in order to be a better person. It requires effort, but I never felt like I needed to change who I was. I only needed to change a few habits.” One of the most significant areas of growth for Gabrielle has been learning how to manage her energy. The nutritional advice has helped her to make healthier food choices and manage her time more efficiently. “Energy-wise, the nutritional advice really helps me manage my energy in terms of time spent cooking or deciding what to eat or not eat. Even if my family is not part of the health program, I was able to ask and get answers about different health matters related to them,” she shares.
Gabrielle believes that the LetsBe program also provides employees with a greater sense of mindfulness, which is crucial for fostering a healthy work-life balance. “It brings mindfulness to the employee’s journey and a kind of liberation to know that he or she should not neglect their health and that the company is helping in that way,” she states. The program’s ability to create space for employees to focus on their health, both physically and mentally, has been invaluable for Gabrielle. She adds that, during particularly stressful times at work, having access to wellness support helped her manage her stress more effectively. “What helped me the most was being able to talk about work with someone who is capable of telling me if this is something I need to work on or if I don’t need to put my energy into it,” she explains.
Throughout her wellness journey, the MIPS professional has also found that physical activity has played a crucial role in boosting her energy levels and maintaining her focus at work. “During the trail season, being able to work out during lunchtime, before or after work, was really great and energising,” she notes. Having the flexibility to incorporate exercise into her daily routine helped her stay energised and focused, benefiting both her physical health and productivity.
Looking forward, Gabrielle has set new wellness goals for herself. “My personal goal for 2025 is to boost my immune system and feel better. I plan to continue to be active and take it a notch more seriously. I always thought that you cannot perform without being 100% yourself and in good health. It’s like that in sports, and it should be the same in your corporate job,” she reflects. Gabrielle is confident that LetsBe will continue to be an ally in her career, offering the support and tools she needs to thrive in both her personal life and her professional role.
