blink by Emtel announces 10 more lucky winners of its blink & Win campaign’s 2nd edition

blink by Emtel celebrated 10 more winners of the second edition of its blink & Win campaign during an exciting prize-giving ceremony held at Star Cinema, Caudan Waterfront on 27 January.

The event, which brought together customers and merchants, marked another milestone in the three-month blink & Win campaign designed to reward users of blink, Emtel’s innovative payment platform.

The blink & Win campaign aims to express gratitude to Emtel’s customers and merchants for their continued support. Participants automatically enter the lucky draw by completing transactions using blink, including Scan & Pay, e-commerce merchant payments, bill payments, or mobile recharges. Every Rs 200 spent through blink earned an entry, increasing the user’s chances of winning fantastic prizes.

The latest lucky winners

The 10 lucky winners announced at the ceremony received a range of prizes catering to various interests from technology to fashion. Here is the list of the lucky winners and their prizes:

One of the lucky winners, Dosieah Sweedesh Koomar, shared his experience of using blink’s “Scan & Pay in India” feature launched last year:

I was recommended blink before travelling to India, as I was told it would allow me to make cashless payments there. Installing the app was incredibly easy, and as soon as I landed, I was able to use it for my first payment. It was very convenient, as many merchants accepted blink as a payment option.

I’m thrilled to be receiving a prize today—this is the first time I’ve ever won anything! I want to thank the blink team for their reliability and excellent customer service,” he added.

The event also recognised merchants, who won the award as the winning transaction was done at their outlet, showcasing their outstanding contributions to the campaign’s success, with special mentions for Total Ambrose, Lad Hardware, and Future Wave Informatics.

Roshan from Total Ambrose Rose Hill, a participating merchant, shared how blink has impacted his business:

blink has been a game-changer for our business, simplifying payments and making them easy to track. As we move towards a cashless society, carrying physical currency is becoming less convenient. blink offers a seamless and accessible solution with just a phone, and I believe it has a bright future ahead. We’re proud to have blink as part of our operations at Total Ambrose Rose Hill.

Leyditta Chengappa Naidu Dukhi from Lad Hardware also highlighted the benefits of blink:

blink has been incredibly helpful. Many of our clients no longer carry cash and prefer the convenience of the Scan & Pay feature, which is much easier than manually entering account numbers for payments. After our first year, blink representatives visited us and reduced the interest rates we pay, which has been a significant advantage compared to competitors.

Final ceremony in February to host 400 customers and merchants

The blink & Win campaign will reach its exciting conclusion on 12 February, in the presence of 400 customers and merchants, where the winners will receive spectacular prizes.

Summing up his thoughts on the success of the campaign and blink’s ongoing innovation, Atul Bhatia, Chief Fintech Officer of Emtel, concluded:
