Leading global investor services group IQ-EQ goes from strength to strength in Africa, not only winning our category for the fifth consecutive year in the Africa Global Funds (AGF) Service Providers Awards, but also taking home two titles in Private Equity Africa’s first ever Decade Awards.
The Private Equity Africa (PEA) Awards celebrate the very best of the African private equity industry, honouring both investors and service providers. To mark the PEA Awards’ tenth year, Private Equity Africa has additionally hosted Decade Awards, rewarding sustained contribution to the industry over the past ten years.
IQ-EQ was acknowledged for its long-term commitment to the private equity industry in Africa by being awarded a special recognition for industry contribution as a funds advisor.
The second award went to J.P. Harrop, Group Funds Advisor, who won an Individual Advisor Award, which recognised his dedication to the African funds industry. J.P. has been working at IQ-EQ for over 20 years, having been one of the four founders of the Augentius business, which was acquired in 2018. He has acted as a Non-Executive Director for all internal Mauritius entities from 2011-2019 and is regularly invited as a speaker at African funds conferences. As an expert in his field, J.P. has been involved in relationships with the largest of IQ-EQ’s Africa-based clients.
Meanwhile, in the AGF Awards, IQ-EQ won ‘Best Fund Administrator: Private Equity Funds over $20bn’ for the fifth year in a row. The AGF Service Provider Awards uniquely serve to recognise the outstanding efforts and accomplishments of fund service providers covering Africa.
Africa is a key region for IQ-EQ, with 650+ people employed by our offices in Mauritius and South Africa, servicing worldwide clients across all of IQ-EQ’s core service segments. IQ-EQ Mauritius recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, demonstrating its importance to the global operation of the Group.
