The India Africa Entrepreneurship Forum (IAEF), headquartered in Mauritius, today announced a new partnership with the Bengaluru-based Takshashila Institution to bring high-quality, affordable public policy education to entrepreneurs, professionals, and policy practitioners across Africa.
The partnership rests on a simple premise: understanding India from within Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem cannot rest on trade and investment figures alone. Governance frameworks, regulatory design, and public policy thinking shape how markets function and how nations partner with one another just as much as capital does. By opening the 12 week Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (GCPP) programme to African participants, IAEF and Takshashila will give entrepreneurs and professionals across the continent direct access to the institutions and policy debates shaping India today.
The Takshashila Institution, supported since its founding by Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, is known for delivering rigorous, practitioner-oriented public policy education which has over 10000 alumni globally, and is offered at a fraction of the cost of comparable programmes. Its GCPP curriculum draws on frameworks that are broadly applicable while remaining grounded in India’s own policy experience, giving African participants a comparative lens on governance, economics, and public affairs.
The 12-week GCPP programme, offered across three specialisations, will be available to African participants at a special fee of US$350 (against the standard fee of US$420). Sessions are held on Saturdays and designed for working professionals. The programme includes one self-financed, in-person workshop near Bengaluru.
- GCPP – Advanced Public Policy — Equips participants with frameworks to understand how politics and economics intersect, and with strategies to navigate that intersection effectively.
- GCPP – Defence and Foreign Affairs — Introduces geopolitics, strategic studies, and economic reasoning, with a focus on the role of military power in global affairs and India’s foreign policy.
- GCPP – Technology and Policy — Provides concepts and frameworks for understanding the relationship between technology, economy, society, and governance.
