Tech for Good incubator seeks innovative, impact-driven ventures, including AI-enabled projects. Applications close on 31 October.
Port Louis, Mauritius, October 2026. La Plage Factory has opened applications for its Growth & Innovation Incubation Cohort 2027, a free, 8-month programme for entrepreneurs with innovative, technology-enabled and impact-driven projects. Applications close on 31 October 2026.
The programme is designed for startups: founders building an innovative, scalable venture, as well as teams launching a new innovative venture from within an established company. Applicants should be based in Mauritius, or have concrete plans to relocate, and bring more than just an idea: a clear project, an identifiable market opportunity and the commitment to build.
An 8-month programme built around four modules
Selected entrepreneurs follow a structured incubation programme combining workshops, masterclasses, business reviews and pitching sessions, built on proven methodologies including Vianeo:
- Business Design & Product-Market Fit
- Go-to-Market Strategy
- Capacity Building
- Funding Readiness
Each entrepreneur is matched with a mentor from La Plage Factory’s community of 25+ mentors, bringing experience across a wide range of industries. Participants also join a community of founders, experts and ecosystem partners, with access to Coworking Port Louis, where most sessions take place in person.
For La Plage Factory, this combination of mentorship, community and ecosystem connections is essential to creating an environment where entrepreneurs can move from ideas to validated ventures and from innovation to measurable impact.
Tech for Good, in an economy shaped by AI
This recruitment campaign follows La Plage Factory’s recent conference Growth & Innovation, The AI-Powered Entrepreneur, held on 25 September 2026 at the Mauritius Telecom Campus. The event aimed to give founders a clearer view of Mauritius’ AI and innovation ecosystem, practical ideas and valuable connections, with a core conclusion that AI should be approached as a strategic capability to strengthen efficiency, decision-making and growth, not only as a technology to build into products.
The event brought together around 80 founders, investors, technology practitioners and private and public sector stakeholders, with contributions from Dr the Hon. Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation. Entrepreneurs from the Growth & Innovation 2026 cohort, now approaching the end of their programme, presented their ventures to potential partners and investors.
As such, Tech for Good remains at the heart of La Plage Factory’s approach: using technology and innovation to address real economic, social and environmental challenges. For the 2027 Cohort, the mission is to support and prepare entrepreneurs to build in an economy where AI increasingly shapes how businesses research, develop products, operate, make decisions and reach markets.
