Beau Bassin, 1st December 2023 — On the evening of the 30th of November 2023, at Voila Bagatelle, the 3rd edition of the People’s Choice Awards was officially closed with the announcement of the People’s Choices of 2023. We were graced with the presence of His Excellency, Mr Eddy Boissézon, the honourable Vice President of Mauritius; Her Excellency, Mrs Maya Hanoomanjee, former Speaker of the National Assembly, former Minister of Health and Former Ambassador of Mauritius to India; Mr Matlhaba Mogadingwane, 1st Secretary of the South African High Commission and the new Board of Directors of Members Business Network (Mauritius) being, the Chairman, Mr Sheik Mahamoodally, CEO Jackie Demetriou, Mrs Shireen Motala, Mrs Georgina Ragaven and Mrs Denise Pitot.
The People’s Choice Awards (Mauritius) is an initiative of Members Business Network (Mauritius) and was established with the vision to boost business confidence on the island following COVID-19. The Mauritian public was invited to vote for their favourite local companies across 68 categories which took place over a six week period.
