Sustainability Week Africa returns to Cape Town on October 30 for second edition

Following the stellar inaugural event in 2024, Platform Africa is proud to partner with The Economist for the second edition of Sustainability Week Africa. The business and investment event will be held over October 30th and 31st in Cape Town, South Africa. The maiden edition in 2024 was a huge success, with over 320 attendees from 21 industries and 19 countries.

The event, organised under the Economist’s events umbrella, Economist Impact, is focused on helping the continent become sustainable faster while avoiding the worst impacts of climate change. With a focus on business, the two-day conference will convene pan-African and global leaders to deliberate on action, while driving investment into green projects. 

With more than 100 speakers, 500 in-person attendees and over 20 case studies, the event will present original insights and practical solutions focusing on industries such as food and agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, steel, tourism, housing and more. 

Who you can expect to hear from 

Ready to meet the most influential decision-makers from large corporates who operate successfully in Africa and hear about how they are adopting sustainable practices? Over two days, pan-African and global leaders will come together to discuss the next steps and speed up Africa’s journey towards sustainability.
