Indian HC hosted Viksit Bharat Run draws huge crowd

In a press release, the High Commission of India, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture (IGCIC), organised Viksit Bharat Run with the Head of State, H.E. Dharambeer Gokhool, gracing the event as the Chief Guest. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Indian Community, including business leaders and students.

Indian High Commissioner His Excellency Shri Anurag Srivastava shared Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 with the participants and encouraged the diaspora to continue contributing to the development of India. India’s envoy also underscored the robust and people-centric development partnership with Mauritius.

On the other hand, Head of State Dharambeer Gokhool highlighted India’s progress and its ongoing commitment to sharing that progress with the world. The event saw more than 300 people attending the event, which included a march from the IGCIC Campus to Sodnac Wellness Park and back.

The event featured a warm-up chair yoga session, followed by a yoga practice for participants in the park after the march.
