Pascal Wehrlein Crowned Formula E World Champion for the Second Time: A Moment of Immense Pride for Mauritius

Porsche Centre Mauritius joins Porsche Motorsport in celebrating another outstanding achievement by Pascal Wehrlein, who has secured his second ABB FIA Formula E World Drivers’ Championship title at the wheel of the Porsche 99X Electric.

At the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season, the Porsche driver topped the championship standings with 169 points, ahead of Jake Dennis with 164 points. Wehrlein delivered an exceptional season, recording three victories, six podium finishes and four pole positions, while also contributing to Porsche’s success in securing the World Constructors’ Championship.

This latest championship title holds particular significance for Porsche Centre Mauritius. Of Mauritian descent through his mother, Pascal Wehrlein is officially recognised as a German-Mauritian racing driver. His achievements at the highest level of motorsport represent a source of immense pride for Mauritius and for motorsport enthusiasts across the country.

“We are extremely proud to see Pascal Wehrlein once again claim the top spot in Formula E. His talent, determination and consistency are truly remarkable. Beyond his sporting achievement, Pascal’s Mauritian heritage gives this success a very special significance. He is a source of pride and an incredible inspiration to Mauritians. The entire team at Porsche Centre Mauritius extends its warmest congratulations to him on this magnificent victory,” said Kevin Kim Lim, Senior Manager at Porsche Centre Mauritius.

With his second World Championship title, Pascal Wehrlein joins Jean-Éric Vergne as one of only a select group of drivers to have won two Formula E Drivers’ Championships. Porsche, meanwhile, concludes the GEN3 era with the World Constructors’ Championship title, while the Porsche 99X Electric stands as the most successful car of this generation, having secured six of the ten World Championship titles awarded during the era.

Porsche Centre Mauritius congratulates Pascal Wehrlein and the entire Porsche Formula E Team on this remarkable achievement.
