The Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD) will host Shiv Khera in Mauritius in October 2026 for a week of strategic engagements with public and private sector leaders, in collaboration with Excelerate Consulting as strategic partner. The highlight of the visit will be an exclusive Leadership Conference, on the theme “Turning Setbacks into Comebacks: The Winner Mindset“, on 16 October 2026 at La Pirogue Mauritius.
Shiv Khera is an internationally renowned author, educator, business consultant and keynote speaker. Over 15 million copies of his books have been sold worldwide, including the bestseller “You Can Win”, published in 21 languages. He has worked with organisations across the world, including Lufthansa, HP, DHL, HSBC, Canon, Nestle, Philips, Mercedes, Johnson & Johnson and MetLife, and has delivered programmes in more than 20 countries.
His visit comes at a defining moment for Mauritian organisations, where leadership resilience carries real weight. Boards and executive teams across the region are being asked to sustain performance in more demanding conditions, and to make decisions with less certainty than before. Amidst this complex environment, the tone at the top shapes how invested people remain in the organisation’s direction, whether teams keep their confidence under pressure, and how quickly an organisation responds to challenges.
The half-day conference will examine how setbacks can become the foundation for comebacks. Participants will look at building resilience frameworks that support decision-making under pressure, applying comeback strategies that drive organisational performance, and strengthening leadership judgement in the face of uncertainty. The conference is designed for C-Suite leaders, board directors, senior executives and professionals across sectors.
Alongside the conference, Shiv Khera will also lead tailored Board Conversations with organisations during the week, shaped around the priorities of each leadership team, on themes including executive and strategic leadership, leading through change, and ethics and integrity.
