PropertyCloud.mu opens entries for fourth Mauritius Real Estate Awards

The search for Mauritius’ standout property projects, companies and industry professionals is underway, with PropertyCloud.mu opening entries for the fourth edition of the Mauritius Real Estate Awards. Developers, estate agencies, individual agents, lenders, architects, innovators and sustainability professionals have until October 31, 2026, to submit their entries across 15 award categories.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on December 3 at the InterContinental Resort Mauritius in Balaclava. This year’s awards have been expanded from 11 categories in 2025 to 15, reflecting a broader focus on the people and businesses shaping Mauritius’ property sector. For the first time, the awards include an Industry pillar, with categories recognising mortgage providers, property innovation, architectural design and sustainability.

“After three editions, the industry feedback indicated that the awards needed to reach beyond projects and agencies,” said Bryan Wester, Managing Director of PropertyCloud.mu. “The new categories recognise the lenders, architects, innovators and sustainability practitioners whose work is helping to shape Mauritius’ built environment.”

Four pillars, 15 categories

The awards are divided into four main areas: Residential, Commercial, Industry and Estate Agents.

The Residential categories include Residential Project of the Year for the International Market, Residential Project of the Year for the Local Market and Morcellement Project of the Year. The Commercial section covers Mixed-Use Project of the Year, Retail Project of the Year and Office Project of the Year. Under the new Industry pillar, awards will be presented for Mortgage Provider of the Year, Property Innovation Award, Architectural Design Award and Sustainability Award. The Estate Agents pillar includes awards for Agency of the Year by Revenue, Agency of the Year by Transactions, Agency of Choice by Lead Generation, Individual Agent of the Year by Gross Sales Value and Individual Agent of the Year by Transactions.

Different approaches to judging

Not all categories will be judged in the same way. Entries in the Residential, Commercial and Industry sections will be assessed by an independent panel of sector experts. Judges will consider areas including design and innovation, the scale and scope of a project, sustainability, community impact and market impact. Judges will also be required to declare any potential conflicts of interest, while external auditors will oversee the judging process. The Estate Agents categories will instead be based on verified figures and platform data. The Agency of the Year by Revenue award will be determined using filed financial accounts, while transaction and gross sales value awards will rely on certified transaction schedules. The Agency of Choice by Lead Generation category will be based on data from the PropertyCloud.mu platform.

Entries open until October 31

Eligible businesses and individuals can register through the PropertyCloud.mu awards platform until October 31. Entrants must provide their Business Registration Number and supporting documents in PDF format. Projects that have not yet started construction will not qualify. The three finalists in each category are expected to be notified in November, although the winners will remain under wraps until the awards ceremony in December.

Looking back at last year’s winners

The 2026 edition follows a strong showing from several developments and companies at last year’s awards. Telfair La Promenade secured three wins in the commercial categories, while Pointe d’Esny Rivage Sud claimed two residential awards. The organisers say the expansion of this year’s categories is intended to reflect the changing nature of Mauritius’ real estate industry, where the development of projects increasingly involves a wider network of financial, architectural, technological and sustainability professionals. The awards ceremony will return to the InterContinental Resort Mauritius in Balaclava for the fourth consecutive year.
