Attitude ena Talan: The group thanks its collaborators!

Operational performance, creative initiatives or acts of mutual support… At Attitude, the talent and commitment of Family Members show themselves in many ways. As it does every year, the hotel group made a point of honouring them at the Attitude Ena Talan Award Night, one of the most eagerly awaited events on its calendar.

Held on Wednesday 26 August at the Ravenala Attitude in Balaclava, the evening brought together teams from the group’s various hotels. More than a competition, it is above all, for Attitude, an opportunity to celebrate its employees and share a moment together.

The culmination of a year of effort

The Attitude Ena Talan Award Night closes out a year marked by numerous challenges and initiatives within the group.

Throughout the year, audits were carried out in the hotels to assess various aspects of their operational performance, particularly in the spa, housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, entertainment, and cost-effectiveness. The Sunrise Attitude teams swept the board, winning six of the eleven awards recognising operational excellence, as well as the Ki Manier Award, given to the hotel with the best score in the employee satisfaction survey.

Presenting the Operational Excellence Award to Sunrise Attitude, Théodose Fleurié, Chief Hospitality Officer, reminded everyone that operational performance is not just a number: “Behind these results are people who come to work every day with passion. This award matters, and I want to congratulate the winners, but also thank from the bottom of my heart all the members of our hotel teams.”

At the same time, Family Members competed against each other in various sporting and creative disciplines: football, badminton, table tennis, dominoes and a fun run. They also had the chance to highlight their colleagues’ acts of solidarity by nominating them for the Mari Top Award, which recognises a particularly memorable act of mutual support.

This year, Muhammad Usaid Toraub of Tropical Attitude won the Mari Top Award. A well-deserved honour, as the Guest Relations Assistant, who has been with the Attitude group for just five months, saved a guest from drowning, in addition to being a true team player who never hesitates to help his colleagues during especially busy periods.

Muhammad Usaid Toraub receives the Mari Top Award from Jean-Michel Pitot, Group CEO, and Ashvina Busviah, Group People Manager.

For him, this award crowns an experience with the Attitude group that he already describes as excellent: “It’s truly extraordinary to be recognised like this. It’s thanks to my manager’s support that I’ve been able to grow in my job, but it’s also thanks to his nomination that I’m winning this award today. When I heard the guest scream, it felt completely natural to go and help her. Being recognised for that today fills me with immense pride.”

In total, 16 awards were presented this year. But the highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the much-anticipated Attitude Ena Talan 3* Winner and Attitude Ena Talan Champion titles, awarded respectively to the 3-star and 4-star hotels that stood out most across the whole competition.

This year, Coin de Mire Attitude took home the Attitude Ena Talan 3* Winner title, thanks to the consistency of its performance across the different categories. Unsurprisingly, Sunrise Attitude was crowned Attitude Ena Talan Champion 2026. This is its fourth consecutive title.

The teams at Coin de Mire Attitude won the “Attitude Ena Talan 3* Winner” title thanks to the consistency of their performance throughout the year.

For Kevin Govinden, General Manager of Sunrise Attitude, this fourth win confirms that the hotel is on the right track and continuing to improve: “I am extremely proud of this fourth consecutive title. It hasn’t been easy, but we give our all to bring Attitude’s values to life every day. This award reminds us that we can achieve wonderful things when our leadership puts people first!”

For Jean-Michel Pitot, Group Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Attitude, this new edition is an opportunity to salute the work accomplished and express his pride in all the teams: “Today, we are rewarding winners, but it’s an entire team we are celebrating. A team that works every day to bring to life the great ambitions we hold at Attitude. It’s thanks to each and every one of you that our guests leave happy from the experiences they have in our hotels, here in Mauritius as well as in Zanzibar.”

More than a competition, a moment to come together

Although 16 awards were presented during the evening, it was really all the Family Members who were celebrated on this Wednesday, 26 August. For the Attitude group, people must remain at the heart of its identity, and the commitment of those who bring it to life must be fully recognised.

That’s precisely why the Attitude Ena Talan Award Night was designed as a grand gala evening, allowing teams from the different hotels to come together around shared values and experiences. Théodose Fleurié, attending his first Attitude Ena Talan, was particularly struck by it: “I’ve worked at many companies, but what I’m experiencing tonight is exceptional.”

Beyond the awards ceremony, Family Members shared a meal and enjoyed several artistic performances, including those by Attitude’s Head Office teams, as well as a show by comedian Vincent Duvergé, who especially delighted the audience.

In total, more than 500 Attitude Group Family Members took part in the Attitude Ena Talan Award Night.

For Attitude, these moments of togetherness matter just as much as the awards themselves. Indeed, Jean-Michel Pitot noted that this evening is one of his favourites: “Attitude Ena Talan is one of my favourite moments of the year, an evening I always look forward to with great anticipation. It’s a genuine moment of sharing, cohesion and recognition, allowing us to reward, through the various distinctions, everything that makes up the Attitude model: from mutual support among Family Members to the guest experience, and sustainable development along the way. Attitude has always been a family-run group, and this evening is the perfect illustration of that: Family Members from the different hotels meet one another, and the whole Attitude family comes together.”
