On May 6, stakeholders spanning across the business community met at the Hennessy Park Hotel for the official presentation of Elastik, a next-generation business management platform developed in Mauritius by VGR Solutions.
Elastik, whose motto is, Time to Do More, is designed to support organisations of all sizes across industries, with a core strength: fully aligned with businesses in Mauritius and the regulatory environment. By bringing together accounting, sales, inventory, CRM, reporting, and other business functions into one system, Elastik gives businesses real-time visibility and control in a way that fits how they operate.
This launch introduces a different approach to enterprise management systems. Rather than seeing integration as a technical upgrade, Elastik reframes it as a practical business tool, accessible, scalable, and aligned with how businesses operate in real conditions.
The platform has been designed with a clear understanding of real business environments. Drawing on his experience, VGR Solutions’ CEO Selvan Ramalingum focused on building a system that simplifies daily operations instead of adding complexity. Elastik is structured to work in a way that feels natural to users, helping reduce manual work and repetitive tasks. This allows businesses to save time and focus on what really matters, growing their business, improving productivity, and strengthening strategic decision-making.

“Elastik was created from what we observed directly in the market,” explains the CEO of VGR Solutions and founder of the platform, Selvan Ramalingum. “On one side, some businesses were using international systems that were costly and not always adapted to local realities. On the other hand, many were still relying on disconnected tools or manual processes. The objective was to design a solution that brings everything together in a way that is relevant, flexible, and immediately usable.”
At its core, Elastik is designed to simplify how businesses run their day-to-day operations. Transactions are recorded in real time, giving immediate visibility into sales performance.
Stock levels are tracked continuously, improving accuracy and control, while financial data is updated automatically to support better cash flow monitoring and faster reporting. For organisations operating across multiple outlets, performance can be monitored centrally within one system, supported by a platform designed to be practical, easy to use, and aligned with how businesses operate locally.
The system also connects directly to websites and online sales channels, ensuring that products, stock, and transactions are updated in real time across both physical and digital operations. Field activities, including on-site interventions, can be tracked instantly, with information available at the head office and invoices issued without delay.
The latest innovation is the seamless WhatsApp integration within Elastik. Customers can request a quotation via WhatsApp, receive it instantly, and approve it on the same platform. Once approved, the quotation is automatically converted into a Sales Invoice, and payment is instantly recorded in Elastik, all operations processed without manual intervention. This is a fully automated, end-to-end customer journey starting from a simple WhatsApp message.
These capabilities deliver clear operational benefits. Businesses spend less time reconciling data and more time acting on it. Manual errors are reduced, and decisions on purchasing, pricing, and resource allocation can be made faster and with greater accuracy. Over time, this allows management to focus less on day-to-day operations and more on strategic growth.
The implementation of the compulsory Electronic Billing System by the Mauritius Revenue Authority marks a significant shift in the operating environment for businesses in Mauritius. Beyond compliance, this measure signals a broader transition toward structured, traceable, and digital-first operations. In this context, it creates a timely opportunity for business leaders to reassess their systems and processes. Rather than viewing digitalisation as a regulatory obligation, it can be seen as a strategic lever to improve visibility, efficiency, and control across the organisation.
“This is a defining moment for businesses,” says Selvan Ramalingum. “With electronic billing becoming mandatory, digitalisation is no longer a choice or a future consideration-it is a current operational requirement. The question is no longer whether to digitise, but how to do it in a way that genuinely strengthens the business. Platforms like Elastik allow companies to go beyond compliance and use this transition to build more efficient, structured, and scalable operations.”
Elastik has been designed to be accessible from the outset. As a cloud-based solution, it requires no heavy infrastructure and can be deployed without a complex technical setup. Businesses can adopt the platform progressively, starting with essential functions and expanding usage as their needs evolve. This makes it equally relevant for micro-enterprises moving away from manual processes and for larger organisations seeking greater integration across functions.
Today, Elastik is already supporting a growing number of businesses across sectors, with multiple outlets connected and a high volume of daily transactions processed through the platform. The focus is not only on adoption, but on helping businesses to operate more efficiently and scale in a structured way.
